Читаю тут секретные дневники Мастера из нового выпуска DWM и что-то так его жалко стало 
Наверное, не стоило ему каждую новую запись начинать со слов "unfortunately my previous plan did not succeed..." 
Но вообще очень интересно, некоторые детали подробнее объясняются, про которые мы раньше гадали) Например, в Кастровалве цель Мастера была, конечно же: "I get all the fun of unmasking myself and seeing the look on the Doctor's stupid face when he realises that it was me all along"
Про успешное спасение после "The Deadly Assassin": "Unfortunately my previous plan did not succeed because the Doctor engaged me in an unseemly brawl as I unleashed the forces of the Eye and I fell through a crack in the floor. Luckily I landed on a pile of mattresses I had prepared for just that eventuality, and the Sash of Russilon had converted sufficient power to defer my demise, so I departed in my TARDIS".
Любимая фраза Мастера (после указанной в начале) "I was forced to combine forces with the Doctor"
Конечно-конечно, Мастер)) Мы и так не сомневались, ради чего все это каждый раз затевалось)))
Ну и самое гениальное про все ту же "The Deadly Assassin": "As long as the Doctor doesn't turn up, nothing can possibly go wrong! Nevertheless I have decided to summon the Doctor back to Gallifrey, to serve as a scapegoat for the killing of the President. "Please, Master, I beg you," Goth said. "If you use anyone else, your plan will definitely work, the last thing you want is the Doctor here to stop you!" But I overruled him. Goth does not understand hatred as I understand hatred."
